In this interview I get a bit emotional because I always try to let people know that its not always about the weight or the way you look AT ALL. It’s 100% about what you’re doing with your body, your life, and how you feel about who you are. We have to maximize our own life schedules to fit into what it is you want. Only you can determine the outcome of your existence and this interview exemplifies that perfectly.

In this podcast you will hear a prime example that fit does NOT have a size. Fit is every size, every fitness level and I believe after hearing this interview you are really going to go after the question “what is is that YOU want?”.

Tulin happens to be one of the most inspiring people I have ever met. I like to think of her the plus size fitness QUEEN. Growing up and looking at her mom who raved about her 19inch waist, she had always wanted to be the petite blonde. Thus, creating a very distorted vision of body image leading to an eating disorder. A struggle she faced for so many years, this unhealthy habit lead to malnourishment which later developed her PCOS.

Tulin decided that was it, she was going to take control of her life and that she did. She embraced her body, her curves swerves and everything in between and became a plus sized model, found her now husband, and started a beautiful family. She wanted to defy all of the social norms of what the definition of “fit” was by doing so. This was it, this was her vision of a happy and healthy life.

But life isn’t always rainbows and butterflies. The trials and tribulations that came in her way lead to hundreds of pounds of weight gain between her and her husband. Being at the point of her life she saw nearing its end, her husband threw in a fitness DVD that changed their lives forever.

Knowing she was so unhealthy at this point of her life, she made a commitment to herself to move for just 14 days – 14 days of accountability which she shared for the world to see.  She knew she couldn’t get into the INSANITY moves the way she wanted to but she tried her best. What had begun as only a couple of minutes at a time was a sure success for someone who needed help off the couch. Within 70 days, she was airborne, and she felt as though she could actually fly.

The story of Tulin is one for the books. She stopped watching the DVDs and just started listening – she did not do INSANITY Shaun’s way. She did INSANITY TULIN’S way. She stopped saying she could not relate to the people in the fitness DVDs but started saying look whats possible for me. Look what I can do  with MY body. She appreciated so much what the body was capable of.
