We have had our share of interviews here on Trust and Believe but today on our show we bring in a special guest—one of TV’s most talented and hard-working people, Yasmin Vossoughian. You may know her as the HLN Correspondent from The Daily Share, but what you may not know is her story of the troubles she’s faced with the pressures of society.
Being a woman with 15 working years in television, Yasmin finds it to be a huge challenge to trust and believe in herself everyday, especially in an industry that is constantly judging you based on your looks. Like so many women, she has suffered with the eating disorders of bulimia and anorexia for a decade, bringing her to unhealthy extremes affecting her weight, mental health, and career. She takes us through her journey and explains the realization and steps she took to get back to a happier, healthier self.
As she walks us through her incredible transformation of self, she has found that the realization of being present and confident will give strength to get through another day no matter what challenges come our way. As a wise friend of hers once told her through one of her most trying times, “you’ve got to get through to get over”.
